Marlboro Lions Club to host 'porketta' festival

Marlborough - The Marlboro Lions Club is hosting the 4th Annual Marlboro Lions Club Porketta and Family Festival Sunday Aug. 26 from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at the Elks Club in Hudson. The familyoriented event will include a feast of salad, pasta, desserts and of course seasoned pork roast. The kids can enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers and french fries in between pony rides, along with treats like cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and ice cream.

In addition to pony rides, activities will include rock wall climbing, horseshoes, a magic show, a moonwalk, face-painting, whiffle ball, a cash wheel and a dunking booth. Raffle items include an iPod and a laptop computer, along with gift certificates.

Adult tickets are $15 and kids pay $5. Tickets are available by calling 508-480-0001 or by visiting the Main Street Café, 182 Main St., Marlborough.
