Lloyd V. Robar, 88 He leaves his nephews, Kenneth Simes and Brian Simes. Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, the son of John and Beatrice (Thompson) Robar, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, participating in the Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe campaigns. He was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and the American and European Theater Campaign Ribbons. Mr. Robar was as a machine operator for the former ITT Surprenant Co. in Clinton until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and member of the Twin Springs Golf Course in Bolton, as well as a member of the V.F.W. in Hudson. Funeral services were held Aug. 1 from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson, with burial at Forestvale Cemetery.
