Administrator continues giving to school

Northborough - After working in the School Superintendent's office for 23 years, when Helen Yanco retired Feb. 2, she wanted to give something back to the community she had served for so long. Since her children, Holly and Richard, both attended Lincoln Street School and her grandchildren often enjoy the Lincoln Street School playground, that seemed the ideal site for a bench that Yanco donated.

Over the years, Yanco worked under four superintendents - Dennis DiSalvo, Robert Melican, Robert Couture and Rosemary Joseph. When she retired, she was the personnel assistant.
