Discovery Series continues with marionette show

Marlborough - Rosalita's Puppets will perform "Goldilocks and the Three Dragons" Saturday Aug. 11 beginning at 11 a.m. outdoors on Union Common in Marlborough. The event is part of the Saturday Morning Discovery Series, sponsored by the Arts Alliance and the city of Marlborough. The public is invited. There is no admission fee.

Using hand-fabricated marionettes, audience par- ticipation and singing, puppeteer Charlotte Anne Dore will present a traditional story with an original twist. A dragon family lives happily in the forest until a mischievous Goldilocks arrives and causes commotion.

Lasting about 50 minutes, the show is bound to delight the child in everyone.

In case of rain, the show will take place in the Walker Building's third-floor wheelchair-accessible auditorium, 255 Main St., Marlborough.

Musicians are scheduled for each remaining Saturday morning until Sept. 1, when Marlborough's own Jason Anick will perform on violin with Sinti Rhythm, a gypsy jazz ensemble featuring guitars and a clarinet.
