Alice M. Colacchio, 85

Marlborough - Alice M. (Damico) Colacchio, 85, died Monday, July 30, 2007, after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of John N. Colacchio, who died in 2001.

She leaves her children, John Colacchio; Catherine Kyper and her husband, Richard; Thomas Colacchio and his wife, Carol; Stephen Colacchio and his wife, Lynne; David Colacchio; and Amy Smith and her husband, Harian. She also leaves her sister, Marion Lively; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Born in Marlborough, the daughter of Ernest and Anne (Gelina) Damico, she had lived in the city all her life.

Mrs. Colacchio was employed for many years as a cutter for the former Frye Boot Co., retiring in 1983.

She was a member of the former St. Ann's Parish of Marlborough for most of her life, and was an active volunteer for the former Dukes of Marlborough Drum and Bugle Corps.

Funeral services were held Aug. 4 from the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home of Marlborough, with burial at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
