John T. McIntyre, 71 Marlborough - John T. McIntyre, 71, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at UMass Memorial - Marlborough Hospital following a lengthy illness. He leaves his wife, Carol (Soucy) McIntyre; his daughters, Jodi Hetherington and her husband, Kyle, and Traci Ferrera and her husband, Thomas; his brother, Raymond McIntyre; his sisters, Esther and Elaine; his mother in-law, Rita Soucy; his grandchildren, Ashley White, Brandon Hetherington, Cory Hetherington, Nicholas Ferrera and Jonathan Ferrera; and his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, with whom he was very close. Born in Waltham, the son of Raymond and Mary (Lappin) McIntyre, he graduated from Watertown High School in 1955. Mr. McIntyre was a chef at the former Ambiance Restaurant in Marlborough until its closing. He then worked for more than 10 years as the chef at the White Cliff s in Northborough. Following his retirement, he moved to Florida, where he was able to play golf seven days a week. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, where he served as an usher. He was a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 10671 in Florida, and a youth director for the Special Olympics. He had been a friend of Bill W.'s for more than 20 years. A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 7 from the Immaculate Conception Church of Marlborough, with burial to be held at the convenience of the family. The Slattery Funeral Home of Marlborough directed arrangements.
