For the freshest seafood and so much more

Region - I was looking forward to dining recently at Sebastian's Seafood and Grille in North Grafton to fulfill a craving I'd been having for fish and chips. The restaurant, which is tucked into a corner of a residential area, has an extensive menu.

Dishes are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is comfortable and casual, the staff friendly and accommodating. The nautical theme in the décor is accented by a large fish tank filled with brightly colored fish, plants and an unusual starfish.

There are many appetizers to select from. I started with shrimp cocktail ($8.99), which was fresh, cold and just perfect. There were six large shrimp accompanied by a spicy sauce. My dining companion thoroughly enjoyed her homemade New England clam chowder (cup $3.75, bowl $4.95). The bowl was filled with potatoes and chunks of clams. The creamy, hot soup really hit the spot.

Our waitress told us about the specials for the day, but I already knew what I was orderin ng. The fresh fish and chips (lunch $7.99, dinner $10.99) consist of a large, crispy, battered piece e of haddock served with french fries, onion rings, coleslaw and tartar sauce. I had been loo oking forward to this and I was very pleased.

My companion ordered the lobster salad roll ($15.99), served with french fries or chip ps and coleslaw. She appreciatthe ed the quality and quantity of t lobster salad, and declared it the perfect summertime mea Patrons visiting Sebastian's S Seafood and Grille find a wide range of choices for appetizers , soups and salads, sandwichn es, seafood, beef, pork, chicken and some vegetarian dishes. The many interesting selectio ons include fried coconut shrimp (appetizer $7.99), baked d lazy lobster pie ($16.99), swordfish stromboli ($19.99) an nd sautéed chicken alfredo ($12.99), just to name a few.

Sebastian's Seafood and Gril le off ers something for evd eryone. There's even a mix and match combo, where one can pick two from a list of entr rée items like marinated steak tips, grilled chicken breast, baked salmon fillet, baked haddock Sebastian, fried whole belly clams or shrimp, grilled swordfish steak or barbecued baby back ribs.

There are also a take-out menu and a full-service bar with large-screen and regular-sized televisions. There are daily specials for both lunch and dinner. Monday through Friday from 3 until 5 p.m., customers can enjoy 25 percent off all food items from the dinner menu.

Because the portions are generous, we knew in advance to save a bit of room for dessert. Some of the homemade baked items include the apple crumb pie, served a la mode, and the fudgy brownie trifle. We decided to share the apple crumb pie and enjoyed it with a steaming cup of coff ee. It was the perfect ending to a delicious and satisfying dinner.
