Margaret M. Fitzgibbon, 89

Marlborough - Margaret M. Fitzgibbon, 89, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, after a long period of failing health.

She leaves her cousin, Dr. J. David Fitzgibbon, and her goddaughter, Margery Waldron, and her family, Robert Jr., Thomas, Jennifer and Matthew Waldron.

Born in Oswego, N.Y., the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Maher) Fitzgibbon, she lived in Utica, N.Y., before moving to Marlborough several years ago to be with her family.

Ms. Fitzgibbon was employed for many years as a secretary for SRI International of Menlo Park, Calif., retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Parish in Northborough and of the former St. Ann's Parish of Marlborough and St. John's Parish of Utica.

Funeral services were held Aug. 22 from the Chapel of St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro, N.Y. The William R. Short and Son Funeral Home of Marlborough directed arrangements.
