Lions Club announces scholarship winners

Marlborough - The Marlboro Lions Club awarded $3,000 in college scholarships to graduates from Marlborough, Hudson and Assabet Valley Regional high schools during its mid-summer meeting in July, Scholarship Chair Bob Page announced. The collegebound students are all headed for medically-related higher education.

Marlborough High School graduate Christina Kunycky will be going to Middlebury College in Vermont. Alicia Fagan from Hudson High School will be attending Northeastern University in Boston. The third recipient is Assabet Valley graduate Michelle Carvalho, who currently works at Marlborough Hospital.

Scholarships were awarded based on GPA, community involvement, volunteer work and the intent to pursue work in a medical field.
