Welcome, neighbor?

Westborough/Southborough - One of the region's most powerful corporations, EMC, has generally
been viewed as a friendly neighbor, but the data storage giant has been ruffling some feathers of late
as it works to obtain permits for a 445-acre business park on the Westborough-Southborough line.
When negotiations soured in Southborough recently, EMC decided that the appropriate response was a
lawsuit naming the town of Southborough.
Things aren't going much better in Westborough as EMC's attorneys continue to butt heads with
conservation officials over a proposed roadway to cut through two acres of wetlands.
