Irene V. Peters, 87

Northborough - Irene V. (Rost) Peters, 87, formerly of Brighton, died peacefully Monday, Aug. 26, 2007 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 50 years, Ralph Peters Jr., died in 2002.

She leaves her daughters, Susan Cirigliano and her husband, Vincent, and Heidi Peters Biehl and her husband, Donald, and her grandchildren, Alexia, Vincent and Domenic Cirigliano and Elizabeth "Liz" and Donald Biehl.

Born in Poland, she was the daughter of Paul and Maria (Rot) Rost. She was raised in Poland and Vienna, Austria and came to the U.S., following World War II, in 1950.

Mrs. Peters worked as an x-ray technician for the former Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Boston and then for the Circle Manor Nursing Home in Brighton as a Nurse's Aid for many years.

She was a private woman who was dedicated to her work, family and friends. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

A mass of Christian burial was held Aug. 30 from St. Columbkille Church in Brighton, with private burial. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101.
