Catherine J. Berryman, 73

Northborough - Catherine "Kit" J. (Dunay) Berryman, 73, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at UMass Memorial Campus following a brief illness.

She was the devoted and loving wife of 51 years to Millard Berryman. Besides her husband, she leaves her sons, David Berryman and Mark Berryman; her grandchildren, Eric, Rachel and Megan; her sisters, Ann Northrup and Mary Pavlick; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born and raised in Wilkes- Barre, Penn., she was the daughter of John and Catherine (Spitalik) Dunay and a graduate of Prospect Height School of Nursing in New York City.

Mrs. Berryman worked as a Registered Nurse at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, retiring in the late 1980s. Previously, she worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Saint Mary's Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y.

Mrs. Berryman and her husband, Millard, loved traveling the world and vacationing in Maine. She was also actively involved with the Northborough Senior Center and a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church and the Northborough Action Committee.

"Kit" was generously giving of her time, always ready to lend a helping hand. She was loved by all who knew her and will be a great loss to her community, especially her friends and family.

A funeral mass was held Aug. 31 from Saint Rose of Lima Church, with burial at Howard Street Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements.
