Gertrude M. Bachand, 92

Northborough - Gertrude M. (Hickey) Bachand, 92, died peacefully at her home Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007 following an illness.

She leaves her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Roland Bachand Sr., as well as her sons, Arthur Bachand and Roland Bachand Jr.; her granddaughter, Cassandra Bachand; and her great-grandchildren, Dillon and Elena.

Born and raised in Worcester, she was the daughter of Francis and Catherine (Hammond) Hickey.

A funeral mass was held Sept. 1 from Saint Rose of Lima Church in Northborough, with burial at Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements.
