History writer to present slide show about 'Fatal Forecast' Shrewsbury - The Shrewsbury Historical Society is presenting "Fatal Forecast: A True Story of Survival at Georges Bank," a narrated slide presentation by author Michael J. Tougias Wednesday Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. in the 1830 Schoolhouse on the Town Common. Admission is free and the public is welcome. Tougias wrote the book "Fatal Forecast" about the wreck of two fishing vessels at Georges Bank. He is the author of 16 books, including "Twelve Hours Until Dawn," about the loss of the Can Do out of Gloucester during the Blizzard of 1978.
