Prefontaine Foundation to host Charity Golf Tournament

Region - The Prefontaine Foundation is hosting its Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston Thursday Sept. 27. The event, which is in its third year, raises funds to benefit the Franciscan Hospital for Children, in Boston.

Named in honor of Nick Prefontaine, who suffered life-threatening injuries in a snowboarding accident five years ago, when he was 13, the foundation is a nonprofit family charitable group established to provide better opportunities for children who are in need.
