Hudson - The community came out Sept. 9 to take part in the First United Methodist Church of Hudson's sixth annual block party and to welcome the church's new pastor, Doug Robinson-Johnson, who arrived a month ago.
"I think we had over 200 people here today," Robinson Johnson said. "I finally had an opportunity to meet people in the community and celebrate the start of school and fall."
The all-day event featured tractor train rides, children's activities, food and lots of conversation. The activities wrapped up with a buffet-style ham and macaroni and cheese dinner in the church hall.
