Chamber of Commerce to host 'Biz to Biz' event

Marlborough - The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) is gearing up for its annual "Biz to Biz Showcase," which will be held at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel Wednesday Sept. 19 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

The event is an opportunity for businesses to network with 350 other business professionals and increase their visibility in the community. The event is open to the general public as well as local businesses, with free admission for general admissions.

Attending the event gives local residents and business an opportunity to view more than 50 booths displaying various business services that are provided through out the area.

Penny Tiernan, chief operating officer for the MRCC, is involved in the planning of the business showcase and said that the event is advantageous for both large and small businesses in the area.

For large businesses, it is a marketing opportunity and for a small business, the event provides a venue to display what it has to off er.

In addition to businesses this year, Tiernan said, one of the booths will feature representatives from the local schools. It also can provide an opportunity for real estate agents to gather information to enhance their businesses.
