Restaurants support Food Pantry 'Taste of Northborough' scheduled during Applefest

Northborough - Two new restaurants will be featured at The Taste of Northborough Sunday Sept. 16 as part of the town's Applefest. The Texas BBQ Company and the Korean-BBQ Kitchen will be serving up samples of their fare along with Armeno Coff ee Roasters, Lil M's Mart, Monti's Pizza Plus, Chef du Jour, Memories Bakery, Nicky D's Donuts and local farms: Berberians Farms, Davidian Brothers Farm and Tougas Family Farm.

The Taste of Northborough is a fund-raiser for the Northborough Food Pantry. Participants donate their time and talent to present samples for up to 500 people.

"It is a wonderful community event," Chair Ellen Carlucci said. "Everyone enjoys sampling the variety of food, it is great exposure for our local businesses, and all proceeds go directly to the Food Pantry."

The event will be held at Melican Middle School from 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets for the event are $10 for eight "tastes" and are available at the door.
