Dance It Up! starts adult dance, fitness classes Oct. 2
 | | Kitchen design seminar Oct. 4 Mariette Barsoum Award-winning designer Mariette Barsoum will host a free seminar, "How Much Will My Dream Kitchen Cost?," Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6:30 - 8 p.m., at her Divine Kitchens Showroom in Westborough. According to Barsoum, she wants to give people an opportunity to explore what goes into a new kitchen or bath project in a pressure-free setting. More than 90 percent of the guests at Barsoum's August seminar reported the information "very valuable." The seminar is free, but space is limited, so reservations are required. Dance It Up! Dance Center, located at 36 North Main St. in North Grafton, starts adult dance and fitness classes Tuesday, Oct. 2. Also, Power Pilates drop-in classes are available through Wednesday, Sept. 26. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance for the drop-in classes. Mason opens Welch House Gems David Mason, GIA Affiliate, owner of Welch House Gems in Westborough, and a lifelong collector of gemstones, turned his interest into an avocation while he and his wife were innkeepers in Maine. He custom set his collected treasures and displayed and sold them to guests. Colored natural gemstones, often combined in unusual ways, are his specialty. After the sale of the inn, Mason enjoyed a successful association with the Black Lion, but always sought the "perfect" venue for his jewelry. Now, his gems have their own "custom setting" on South Street. Stop by 21 South St. in Westborough to browse the estate pieces and other "treasures" at Welch House Gems.
