Church to hold divorce workshop, support group

Hudson - The First United Methodist Church is hosting a 13-week divorce care workshop and support group for the community. The program begins Sunday Sept. 23 at 9:15 a.m. Both members and nonmembers of the church are welcome. The church implemented the program after finding that there were several people in the congregation who could use support after their divorces.

Roseanne Roberts is one of the organizers of the program.

"It is a very private problem and people tend to isolate themselves," she said, "but it is important for them to know that they are not alone."

Some of the topics that will be discussed include dealing with loneliness, financial issues and impact of divorce on children.
