Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day held

Marlborough - The semi-annual city-wide hazardous waste collection will be conducted Saturday Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Items such as antifreeze, auto/household batteries, flammables, household cleaners and polishes, oil-based paints and thinners, propane tanks, pesticides and weed killers, and mercury thermometers are among the list of materials that can be dropped off at the Easterly Water Pollution Control Facility at 860 Boston Post Road East.

Tires, items containing asbestos or PCBs, medical waste, explosives and other unstable materials are examples of items that will not be taken in the collection.
