The tug-of-war continues

Northborough/Southborough - The $60 million expansion and renovation of Algonquin Regional High School has been a contentious project since it was first proposed. Now that construction is complete, Northborough and Southborough differ on the allocation of reimbursement funds from the state. When a tug-of-war over $1.5 million of the reimbursement funds ensued, the towns agreed to have the state decide a just division of the money. The state refused, insisting that the towns work out their differences on their own.

As a result, the towns have each formed a working group to negotiate with the other, although many anticipate that the issue will ultimately be decided in court.
