Shrewsbury Coldwell Banker collects cell phones for troops

The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Shrewsbury is collecting used cell phones to enable soldiers overseas to call home. All collected cell phones will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers, a local non-profit organization. The cell phones are recycled for cash and the proceeds are used to buy prepaid calling cards for soldiers serving in the Middle East. Cell Phones for Soldiers hopes to collect over 50,000 cell phones to help keep troops connected with their families. As a designated "Cell Phone Dropoff Center," the Shrewsbury Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales associates are encouraging friends and neighbors throughout the community to drop-off their used cell phones at 2 Maple Ave. in Shrewsbury Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Breast health workshop Oct. 24

Hudson Family Dental holds annual celebration

Hudson Family Dental celebrated the start of football season with its annual New England Patriots Opening Day Celebration. The office was decorated and the staff came dressed in their finest Patriots gear. In appreciation to all their patients, the celebration kicked off in true Patriots style with a tailgate party that included a variety of food, fun and football give-aways for everyone. Every patient in September had the opportunity to enter a complimentary drawing to win a Ted Bruschi jersey, an Adalius Thomas autographed helmet and a Patriots Sideline hat. The drawing took place Oct. 1 and the winners will be announced at a later date. Post Road Art Center welcomes Tina Marcus
