Fork It Over' to raise funds for Girl Scouts

Marlborough - On Wednesday Nov. 7, the Girl Scouts of Montachusett Council will be holding its third annual Fork It Over event at the Courtyard by Marriott in Marlborough from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Right now, more than a dozen chefs are testing recipes to come up with unique dessert and appetizer ideas using Girl Scout cookies as their inspiration.

The finished masterpieces will be presented before a panel of judges in a best-of-the-best competition. Food editors and local celebrities from the area will be the "official" judges for the night, but everyone attending will have a chance to taste these delicacies and cast their own ballot for the "People's Choice" award.

A silent auction and live musical entertainment will round out this festive night. The event is open to the public. Tickets for the event are just $25 and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. All proceeds will benefit Girl Scouts in central Massachusetts.

For tickets and additional information, contact Girl Scouts of Montachusett Council Inc. at 508-853-1070 or visit www.mgsc.org/ForkItOver.
