Rinaldo) Ricciardi, 86, entered into eternal rest with her husband by her side Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at her home in Dennisport.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Vincent Ricciardi; her son, Vincent Ricciardi II and his wife, Cathy; her daughters, Carol Rano and her husband, Robert, and Elaine Boike and her husband, Sam; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ricciardi, Carina Ricciardi, Vincent Ricciardi III, Jonathan Ricciardi, Michael Rano, Peter Rano, David Boike and Marialena Boike; her sisters, Lucy Napoli, Lillian Nielson and Louise Tarallo; and nieces, nephews and friends. Her daughter, Linda Ricciardi, pre-deceased her.

Born May 2, 1921 in Worcester, she was the daughter of Antonio and Maria (Trotto) Rinaldo. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked as a comptroller for several local companies. She married her love, Vincent, in 1947 and together they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, surrounded by their family.

Mrs. Ricciardi's passions were many, including the Red Sox, cooking, bowling, golfing, gardening and traveling. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church and was active in her parish, serving at one time as president of the Parish Council. She had also been active at the former Sacred Heart Academy and was president of the Mother's Guild.

Her life was dedicated to her family and she loved family gatherings, holidays and, most importantly, being surrounded by her grandchildren. Her smile, tenderness, love, and "noni cookies" will always remain in the hearts and memories of her family and friends.

Funeral services were held Oct. 6 from the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel of Worcester, with burial at St. John's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
