Sullivan graduates with honors

Shrewsbury - Brendan Sullivan, son of William and Eileen Sullivan of Shrewsbury, graduated from Hamilton College this spring with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics.

He graduated cum laude with departmental honors in mathematics and was a member of Sigma Xi, a national honor society. He received the Elihu Root Fellowship that recognizes seniors with high achievement, an aptitude for research, and plans to continue their studies.

Brendan accepted a full teaching/research award to attend Carnegie Mellon University in the Ph.D. program in applied mathematics.

While at Hamilton he played varsity golf, and started one of the few college Scrabble clubs. He plays competitive Scrabble.
