Eleanor L. Dugard, 82
Westborough - Eleanor L. Dugard, 82, died on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007 at the Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlborough. She was the wife of the late William Dugard.

She leaves her son, Edward Dugard and his wife, Carol; her grandchildren, Angela and Jacob Dugard; her sisters, Grace Reade and Mina Porter; her sister-in-law, Anne Steele; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Born in Point Marion, Penn., the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Brewer) Swope, she was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester. She had been a resident of Westborough since 1960.

Mrs. Dugard was employed as a secretary for the Westborough School Department and later for Bay State Abrasives, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Bethany Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, where she served as past matron and Rainbow Advisor. She was also a former volunteer at the Fallon Clinic, enjoyed the Red Sox, country western music and traveling throughout the country to visit family.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Bolton Manor. May God bless them.

Funeral services were held Oct. 19 from St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, with burial at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester. The Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
