Students participate in Punt, Pass, Kick competition

Northborough - More than 54 participants took part in the NFLPepsi Punt, Pass and Kick competition hosted by Lincoln Street School Sept. 26 and 27, during lunchtime recess. These students earned first-place honors in their respective age groups:

For girls age 8 to 9, Kristin DeVries scored a total of 89 feet, 6 inches, while for girls age 10 to 11, Caty Lazo combined for 170 feet even.

For boys age 8 to 9, Luke Benoit achieved a total of 171 feet, 7 inches, and for boys age 10 to 11, Sean Mulker punted, passed and kicked for 205 feet, 5 inches.

These winners qualified for a sectional competition Oct. 13 in Westfield. In Westfield, Kristin placed first in her division, with a combined total of 83 feet, 6 inches; Caty placed third in her division, with 99 feet, 11 inches; Luke came in second in his division, with 180 feet, 7 inches; and Sean totaled 163 feet, 10 inches.
