Alice May Fletcher, 96

Hudson - Alice May (Simonds) Fletcher, 96, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center in Marlborough. She was the wife of the late John Abbott Fletcher.

She leaves her sons, Steve Fletcher and Bruce Fletcher; her granddaughters, Jane Androski, Tori Fletcher and Amy Fletcher; her good friend, Shirley Sherman; and her sonsin law Joseph Androski and Michael Walden. Her daughter, Bonnie Androski, died in August 2006.

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Robinson) Simonds. After high school graduation, she attended Oberlin College in Columbus, Ohio, where she received her bachelor's degree.

Mrs. Fletcher was a secretary at Union Carbide- Linde Co. in Boston for many years, before retiring. She then spent 15 years in Kissimmee, Fla., before returning to Hudson.

Throughout her life, she shared with her family and friends a spirit of fun and laughter that will always be appreciated.

Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family, with the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson assisting with arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research-Early Detection Initiative, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.
