Henry A. Morel, 85

Hudson - Henry A. Morel, 85, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at Marlborough Hospital following a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Catherine (Burgwinkle) Morel, who died in 2001.

He leaves his children, Kathleen Pike, Ann Blanding and her husband, Robert, and Elaine Morel; his sister, Helen Ahearn; eight grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A lifelong resident of Hudson and the son of John and Josephine (Barrett) Morel, he was a graduate of Worcester Trade School.

Mr. Morel was a cabinet maker at the Gothic Craft Co. in Northborough for more than 20 years. He also worked for Lloyd's Woodworking in Hudson.

He was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Hudson. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Nov. 10 from St. Michael's Church, with burial at St. Michael's Cemetery. The Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
