Rotary to host spelling bee
Northborough - The Northborough Rotar y will hold its fourth annual Community Spelling Bee at 6 p.m., Friday Nov. 16 at the Proctor Elementary School, 26 Jefferson Road.

Town Moderator Fred George will serve as the master of ceremonies , as well as providing the words to be spelled by the participants, who will be grouped in teams of three and will compete against each other.

Among the words that will be used during the spelling bee will be lists provided by elementary and middle school students from Northborough.

Participants will be the chief of police, members of the Board of Selectmen, town officials and other well-known members of the community. Judges will include Community Advocate reporter Ken Powers.
