'Grandma's Cobwebs' author visits Whitney Place

PHOTO/MARY PRITCHARD
Westborough - Girl Scouts from Westborough and Northbridge meet with author Ann Frantti at Whitney Place Oct. 24. Frantti wrote "Grandma's Cobwebs" after her mother passed away of Alzheimer's Disease. The children's book addresses many of the issues families experience when a loved one has Alzheimer's. Frantti is from New York, where she is an elementary school principal.

After reading her book aloud and talking with the girls about her experiences with her mother, Frantti and the girls enjoyed pizza, salad and cookies. Some of the scouts used this as a community service opportunity and sang for residents as well.
