Home For The Holidays

The city of Marlborough's Home for the Holidays event will start at 6 p.m. on Union Common, Routes 20/85, when Mayor Stevens arrives with Santa Claus. The celebration includes music, a magician, a puppeteer, barn animals, free refreshments, more.

 

Getting the Message Out! Seminar

The Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Avidia Bank, will present "Getting the Message Out: Be Heard, Understood and Remembered" from 8:15- 9:30 a.m. at Avidia Bank in Hudson. Kindergroup Hosts Santa Day

Southborough Kindergroup will kick off the holiday season with its 13th annual "Santa Day."  Santa will make his debut, arriving via helicopter on the front field at St. Mark's School, corner of Route 85 and Main Street, at 12 p.m. Accompanied by his elves, Santa will head to the Southborough Community House where children can have their picture taken with him. Chabad of Westborough will sponsor its Shrewsbury Public Menorah Lighting on the Town Common, Route 140/Main Street, at 6:30 p.m. Town selectmen and other dignitaries will participate in the festivities, which include hot potato latkes (pancakes), steaming cocoa, jelly doughnuts, and chocolate Chanuka gelt (coins). Westborough Menorah Lighting

Chabad of Westborough will sponsor its 6th annual Public Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration in Westborough Center at the Rotary at 3:30 p.m. The highlight will be a special lighting of a menorah made out of cans!  The giant menorah will be built out of hundreds of cans of food that will subsequently be donated to feed the poor and hungry. The 7th annual Marlborough Hospital "Tree of Light" community tree lighting event will be held Dec. 10, at 7 p.m., in the hospital's Leahy Conference Center. The Couples Project for Women

CPW offers free treatment for women with alcohol dependence who are married or live with a male partner. Weekly one-on-one outpatient therapy for 5 to 6 months promotes women's recovery.
