Chamber of Commerce accepting applications for scholastic awards

Region - The Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that a total of $16,400 is available in scholastic awards to graduating high school students.

Students must be a resident of Westborough, Northborough, Southborough or Shrewsbury to apply. The awards given will be granted on the basis of scholastic achievement, community and school involvement, work experience, financial need, appearance of application, and an interview.

Applications are available in the guidance offices of all area public and private schools. To receive a scholarship application by mail, contact the Chamber office at 508-836-4444.

Applications must be postmarked no later than Wednesday Jan. 9, 2008. Recipients of the awards will be honored at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting scheduled for March 27 at the Doubletree Hotel in Westborough.
