Mary E. Linga, 70

Shrewsbury - Mary E. (Lapinski) Linga, 79, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 in the Rose Monahan Hospice House of Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Clemens Linga; her brother, Charles Lapinski; her sisters-in-law, Mary Linga, Phyllis Recko and her daughter, Patricia Smith, and Viola Misiuk and her daughter, Carol Fedyk; and her adopted family, Agnes, David, Monique, David Jr. and Alicia Lamoureux. She was predeceased by her son, attorney Clemens Linga Jr., who died in 1981.

Born in Chelsea, the daughter of Anthony and Helen (Patterson) Lapinski, she was a graduate of Commerce High School and had lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Shrewsbury 45 years ago.

Mrs. Linga, a homemaker, was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester. She was active in the Woman's Guild of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and the Association of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry and was an avid and proud gardener. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Bernadette Meade and the staff of the Rose Monahan Hospice House for their kindness, attention and care of Mrs. Linga.

Funeral services were held Dec. 6 from the Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home of Worcester, with burial at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Elementary School, 34 Ward St., Worcester, MA, 01610.
