Holiday helpers from Super Suppers

Diners participate in Main Street Cafe's Christmas Sing Thing.
Looking for ways to save time and reduce holiday stress? Then stop by Super Suppers, located at 57 East Main St. in Westborough, and bring home already assembled meals, appetizers and more. Super Supper gift certificates are also a great way to help that special someone in your life get dinner ready in a snap. Also a program for youngsters, "Kids in the Kitchen," will be held Dec. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. During the session, participants can prepare stuffed braided bread, strata or homemade macaroni and cheese, and a dessert before finishing with "sledding sweeties." The cost is $50 and early registration is recommended as space is limited. Visit www.sswestboroughma.com for more information.

Main Street Cafe Sing Thing Every year at Christmas, the Main Street Cafe in Marlborough conducts its annual "Christmas Sing Thing," where patrons are treated to a free non-alcoholic beverage if they serenade the staff and other patrons with a verse from any Christmas carol. The event began in 1987 when the Main Street Cafe, then Bumpy's Restaurant, relocated to 182 Main St. in Marlborough. Since then, hundreds of men, women and children have taken the opportunity to share a little holiday spirit in a quaint New England manner. This year, the Main Street Cafe will be conducting its Christmas Sing Thing through Christmas Eve, and owners Randy and Mary Scott welcome all to stop in and take part.
