Hospital hosts annual 'Community Tree Lighting'

Marlborough - Marlborough Hospital President and CEO John Polanowicz and Hospital Auxiliary President Peg Gilroy come together Dec. 10, as Gilroy has the honor of throwing the switch to light the Marlborough Hospital Community Tree (seen through the window), dedicated to the memory and in honor of area residents' loved ones.

After the dedication and lighting of the tree, decorated with names of those being honored, the Fay School Girls Ensemble, led by Tricia Kammerer, presented a "Holiday Program" including a range of holiday music including Hashivenu, a Hebrew song based on Old Testament lamentations, to medieval Cuncti Simus, from the Benedictine Monastery of Montserrat, plus other perennial favorites.
