Barkif Donoian, 79

Bowie, Md. - Barkif Donoian, 79, formerly of Marlborough, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, after an illness.

He leaves his daughters, Janet Kearns and her husband, John, and Deborah Donoian; his brother, Harry Donoian; and his granddaughter, Andrea Wingood.

Born and raised in Marlborough, the son of Antranig and Florence Donoian, he had lived in Maryland for the last 15 years.

Services were held Dec. 13 at Grace Baptist Church in Bowie, Md., with graveside service held Dec. 15 at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. ThJohn P. Rowe Funeral Home of Marlborough directed local arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the USS Massey (DD-778) Association, 4127 Seaforth Dr., Charlotte, NC 28205-4445.
