Severin caps off Hudson Catholic career by joining the 1,000-point club
      Hudson - Hudson Catholic High School senior Justice Severin saw his memorable Green Wave career capped by being named the team's Most Valuable Player at the school's Winter Sports Awards Banquet March 2. Included in Severin's career highlights was eclipsing the 1,000-point mark this season. Severin finished with 1,027 career points.

Westborough advances to play Shepherd Hill
      Region - The Westborough and Algonquin Regional high school girls basketball teams renewed their rivalry in a Central Mass. Division 1 Tournament semifinal March 2 at WPI, which was a physical, hard-fought game that the Rangers survived more than they won, 41-36.

St. John's beats Shrewsbury High in overtime
      Shrewsbury - St. John's Anthony Trapasso gets off a shot between Shrewsbury High defenders Patrick Russell (left) and Nate Theodoss during the team's Central Mass. Division 1 quarterfinal, won by St. John's in overtime, 82-81. Trapasso finished with 14 points in the game, which was played at Holy Name because of the recent flooding of the St. John's gymnasium.

Shrewsbury gymnastics team comes in fourth
      Shrewsbury - Shrewsbury High gymnast Diane Whitaker performs on the balance beam during the gymnastics state championship, held in Shrewsbury Feb. 29. The Colonials were fourth overall in the eightteam tournament, a finish highlighted by Jess Mushinsky's winning the balance beam competition, with a score of 9.

      Marlborough - The rematch should be quite a match. The Marlborough High boys basketball team will meet perennial Central Mass. power St. John's for the second time this season at 7:30 p.m. Friday March 7 at WPI's Harrington Auditorium.
