Musicians invited to join community band
      Hudson - As the River's Edge Community Band begins its spring season, it invites area musicians to join its Thursday evening rehearsals from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson High School's band room, 69 Brigham St., Hudson. Area adults and students in grade eight or older are welcome to attend. All instruments are welcome.

      Hudson - Lynn Ackerman brings along about 10 different types of orchids as she speaks to flower fans April 19 at the Hudson Public Library. Ackerman, from Lyman Estate Greenhouses in Waltham, guided those in attendance about selecting types of orchids, and about proper lighting, temperature and watering. Generations of Girl Scouts at 'Tea Party'
      Hudson - Taylor Polomarenko, 10, a Girl Scout from Troop 2722, takes a break with her grandmother Anne Ingalps after taking part in the Fashion Show, a part of the "Senior & Me Tea Party," held April 13 at the Hudson Portuguese Club. The Girl Scouts in attendance learned about the history of the organization while seeing the difference in uniforms from decade to decade.
