      Southborough - Looking around the room you'll see some children playing a game of hangman, one child may be sitting silently in a rocking chair with a magazine, some are huddled together wearing headphones and sharing a book, and others are acting out a skit for an audience of their classmates.

Program brings world religions to sixth-graders
      Westborough - During the Great Religions program at Mill Pond School, sixthgrader Pranit Lahoty, 11, learned why Sikhs wear turbans. Ashley Solares, 12, was fascinated to learn that Hindus worship many gods. For Kevin Bock, 12, it was a chance to learn about his classmates.

Mill Pond hosts band instrument 'petting zoo'
      Westborough - Most people think of furry creatures when they hear "petting zoo." On April 15, though, Mill Pond School fourth-graders and their parents experienced a diff erent kind of petting zoo - one showcasing band instruments instead of creatures. There were still squawks and squeaks, but the sounds came from instruments, not animals.

Armstrong reaches out to diverse community
      Westborough - English language learners (ELL) at Armstrong Elementary School have increased 50 percent over the last few years, and that spurred Principal Jeff Slomski and the school council to think about reaching out to the families of those students.
