Local women's a cappella group heads to international competition

      Hudson - Sweet sounds came from the Grace Baptist Church April 14, when a delighted audience watched Women of Note, a Hudsonbased barbershop choir. The open rehearsal was in preparation for a contest in Portland, Maine, from April 25 through 27, along with other chartered members of Harmony Inc., a group of 2,000 women's choirs in the United States and Canada.

Hudson Community Fest brings student artwork to downtown

      Hudson - The recent decoration of local business windows with colorful student artwork from local schools is the first sign of the 22nd annual Hudson Community Fest. The festival is scheduled for Saturday May 31 and is hosted by the Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce as an opportunity for businesses and residents to celebrate the community spirit and commerce of the town.

Church to hold yard sale, car wash, barbecue
      Hudson - In conjunction with this year's Hudson Community Fest, First United Methodist Church of Hudson is holding a Giant Yard Sale, rain or shine, Saturday May 31 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church parking lot. In addition to the yard sale, the church's youth will hold a car wash.
