School budget approved
      Shrewsbury - The Shrewsbury School Committee has approved a budget of $45.87 million for fiscal year (FY) 2009, which represents a 7.3 percent increase over the current year. Included in the budget is half of the funds that the town received when employees voted to cover a larger portion of their health insurance.

Fay School to begin campus improvement project
      Southborough - MassDevelopment has announced the issuance of a $43 million tax-exempt bond for the Fay School in Southborough. The school will use bond proceeds to finance several campus improvement projects, including renovations to academic and residential buildings, infrastructure upgrades, and the construction of a wastewater treatment facility.

Program attracts students to fitness
      Marlborough - After school May 14, sixth-grader Ryan Lewis was jumping rope. Nearby, three fourth-grade girls were doing push-ups on balance balls. Nearly half a dozen cardiovascular exercise machines were in use, and weights were clanking in the new fitness room at Marlborough Middle and Intermediate Elementary schools (MEIS).
