Committee hopes to create a 'walkable' city
      Marlborough - As gas prices continue to rise, commuters and vacationers around the country are abandoning their SUVs for traditional transportation methods, like walking and biking, and opting for local entertainment.

Streams get a thumbs up
      Marlborough - From fishing out televisions to testing water quality, 15 volunteers canvassed the north bank and the main stream of Milham Brook over the past few months. The volunteers are part of the "Stream Team," which is a conservation effort supported by the city.

      Marlborough - Marlborough's Planning Board met July 14 and considered over a half-dozen projects, moving many along the path toward completion. Among them is an application to create a new zoning overlay district on the eastern side of Marlborough.

      Marlborough - The audience laughed and cheered as middle school children from the surrounding communities, dressed in elaborate costumes, performed Disney's award-winning "Mulan.

Chamber of Commerce hosts annual cookout
      Marlborough/Hudson - Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce receptionist Zeta Powers makes her way along the buffet line at the chamber's annual Steak and Lobster Cookout, held July 16 at the Hudson Elks Pavilion. A 50/50 raffle raised funds for high school scholarships and economic development. Over 250 local business people attended the event.
