Kids take a swing at tennis
      Hudson - Arianna Smith, 5, keeps her eyes on the ball and readies to swing during the first day at Tiny Tots Tennis Instruction, a course for youngsters age 4 to 6, offered July 29 through Aug. 1 at Riverside Park Tennis Courts by Hudson Division of Recreation. Tennis instruction was also available for youth ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 15, as well as adults.

      Hudson - Ruby DeRocher stitches a quilt she's creating during the July 31 meeting of Silver Threads, a group of sewers and quilters that meets Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hudson Senior Center and welcomes new members.
