High school band wins at music festival

      Westborough - The Westborough High School Band took home three awards at the 2008 Virginia Beach Festivals of Music in May. The band, with members of the school's wind ensemble, concert and marching bands, earned an "excellent" rating and were ranked first in class AA, the largest class in the competition.

Middle schools to host open houses
      Shrewsbury - Sherwood and Oak Middle Schools have announced that they will host open houses for new and returning students and their families. The Sherwood Middle School open house will be held at the school Thursday Aug. 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The Oak Middle School open house will be at the school Monday Aug. 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
