Board names search committee

      Westborough - The Board of Selectmen formally appointed nine members of the Town Manager Search Committee Aug. 19. The 10-member committee includes town department heads and officials who will work with the manager, Town Coordinator Henry Danis said.

Church collects items for U.S. soldier, Iraqi children
      Westborough - The Peace and Justice Committee at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 3 John St., Westborough, has "adopted" a female soldier in Iraq. The soldier is a sergeant whose name is Erin. She is 25 years old, from western Pennsylvania and has a 16-monthold daughter. Erin joined the Army after high school, before Sept. 11, 2001.

Music department offers concert passes for sale
      Westborough - The Westborough High School (WHS) Fine Arts Department is offering family concert passes for the 2008- 2009 school year. Passes are $15 per immediate household for the entire year. Regular admission to all concerts is $5; admission is free for Westborough senior citizens.

The ceremony heralded the start of construction of the branch's new Wellness Center. Attendees included the YMCA's many benefactors and community leaders, including State Rep. Karyn E.
