Festival introduces 'Taste of the Spirit'

      Shrewsbury - While residents have grown accustomed to seeing, hearing and feeling the town spirit during the annual Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival (SOS), they will now be able to taste the spirit as well. "Taste of the Spirit" is a new event added to the town-wide celebration this year.

      Shrewsbury - Volunteer teenagers and adults are needed to help exhibitors and visitors at the Spirit of Shrewsbury Oak Street Expo information booth, to provide assistance to exhibitors during the day and to supervise moonwalks.

Police issue information about Citizens Bank robbery
      Shrewsbury - On Aug. 29, 2008, at 1:58 p.m., the Shrewsbury Police responded to a reported bank robbery at Citizens Bank located at 50 Boston Turnpike (Route 9 and White City Plaza). Upon officers' arrival, the suspect had fled the scene. The suspect committed the robbery by passing a note making his demands. He left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.
