Cultural Council announces deadline for local grant application

Hudson - The Hudson Cultural Council has announced that Wednesday Oct. 15 is the deadline for individuals, schools, community groups and cultural organizations to apply for funding to support activities in the arts, humanities and interpretative sciences in the community.

The Hudson Cultural Council (HCC), consisting of volunteers from Hudson, receives money each year from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Following state guidelines and local criteria, the HCC then grants funding to support a variety of projects that benefit the citizens of Hudson. The HCC will also accept funding proposals from schools and youth groups through the PASS Program, a ticket subsidy program for school-aged children that allows them to attend a Massachusetts-based cultural event.

Application forms and additional information about the Local Cultural Council Program are available on the website at massculturalcouncil. org/programs/lccgrants. html. Grant applications are also available at the Hudson Public Library and the Town Clerk's Office.

The HCC is currently seeking new volunteers. Visit the Town Clerk's Office , Hudson Town Hall, 78 Main St., and fill out the Committee/Board Interest Form if you are willing to serve.
