Northborough teen running her first marathon to fight cancer
      Northborough - Catherine Kenney of Northborough will be running her first marathon Sunday Oct. 19 at the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco, Cal. Kenney is raising money for the Massachusetts Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, with its Team in Training program.

      Northborough - Sex education is more than just about "the birds and the bees," according to Planned Parenthood Senior Parent Educator Mindy Craver. At the Assabet Valley Mothers and More meeting Tuesday Sept. 30, Craver will explain to parents how opening the lines of communication while children are young can ease difficult discussions down the road.

Town awarded recycling barrels
      Northborough - A resident uses one of the town's new recycling containers. According to the Northborough Recycling Committee, six public space recycling containers have been installed at several town parks. The containers were awarded to the town through a Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Municipal Waste Reduction Grant.

      Northborough - A few friends and I were in the mood for something spicy the night we decided to stop in at Yoong Tong Thai Restaurant. The friendly hostess seated us in a comfortable booth. Yoong Tong has a sushi bar where you can order many combinations of sushi, sashimi and maki rolls, but we were in the mood for something from their large dinner menu.
